More 1500 Spy Shots!

Ram 1500 at All Star Dodge Ram near Clayton

When you are shopping for a great truck, you know that you need to check out the Ram truck lineup at All Star Dodge Ram near Clayton. We are super excited to share with you what we saw on some of the recent spy shots that were captured of what we think will be the new 2019 Ram 1500.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ money-making Ram 1500 truck is getting a major overhaul, this generation was introduced for the 2009 model year. We expect styling will be evolutionary and that Ram won’t follow Ford down the aluminum road, using a steel bed and primarily steel body panels. The truck in these spy photos is almost entirely covered in camo, but peering through it as best we can, it appears as if the grille will partially bleed into the headlights, an industry-wide design trend. These photos also show a massive cab, possibly indicating the introduction of the Mega Cab to the 1500 series (it previously has been available only on the heavy-duty models) or simply that the truck is getting bigger. There also have been rumors, stoked due to a patent filing in 2014, that this next-gen Ram would have a split-door tailgate, but no center seam is evident on this test truck.

“These shots provide a pretty clear look at the interior, highlighted by a massive squared-off UConnect infotainment screen. The redesigned climate controls feature a three-dial row beneath two radio knobs, and aeronautical-style switches can be seen at the bottom of the center stack. We also can see that Ram’s rotary gear selector survives the makeover.”-caranddriver.com

Ram 1500 Getting a New Interior

Ram 1500 at All Star Dodge Ram in MO

When you want a great pick up truck, you think Ram. They have the power, the agility, and the comfort to get the job done. We added comfort in there because we know that for a long time trucks were all work and no play. Trucks were rough and tumble but not that comfortable to ride in. Ram changed that game and for the next model year, they are making the interior even more comfortable.

“The new Ram truck will get much of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ latest interior technology as it tries to get ahead of the updated Ford F-150 and upcoming replacements for the current GM twins [the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the GMC Sierra 1500]. The new Uconnect 4.0 multimedia system is likely present here, but with a taller, vertically arranged information/navigation screen found in other FCA products with physical buttons running along the sides and underneath.”-news.pickuptrucks.com

Other features we’re hearing about include self-park assist, a lane-keeping assist system and other driver assistance technology, as well as a relocated integrated trailer brake controller.

In addition to a key-activated automatic tailgate opener (press the icon on the key fob), the Ram 1500 will provide remote control over the access height when air suspension is selected, so passengers and cargo can be loaded more easily without having to start the truck first.

We know that it will be a little while before the new interior is available for us to take home, but we are still so excited to see it! Soon you will be able to get the latest Ram 1500 at All Star Dodge Ram in MO. Just talk to a member of the All Star team about all of the great features that the Ram 1500 has to offer!

Ram 1500 Sport Seeing Upgrades for 2018

Ram 1500 at All Star Dodge Ram near Creve Coeur

We are starting to get the first looks and read the first reviews on the 2018 Ram trucks and we are so excited. We recently got word that the 2018 Ram 1500 Sport would be getting some upgrades and we want to share with you what we know. Granted, right now it’s not much, but soon you will able to learn even more at All Star Dodge Ram near Creve Coeur.

Ram is continuing to slowly phase out its brand’s cross-hair grille, as the 2018 Ram 1500 Sport and Ram Heavy Duty pickups equipped with the Sport Appearance package adopt a variant of the snout found on the Laramie Longhorn, Limited, and the new-for-2018 Ram Limited Tungsten trims. As on those Ram trims, the 2018 Sport and Sport Appearance package’s body-color grille is distinguished by its pig-like nostrils and large “R-A-M” script and is paired with either black or chrome wheels and badges.

Ram isn’t abandoning its former face overnight, and the new-for-2018 Ram 1500 Big Horn Black continues to bear the cross-hair mug of Rams past. Looking much like the Ram 1500 Black Express that was introduced in 2013, the Big Horn Black features black paint, black wheels, black badges, and black headlight bezels. Unlike the lesser Ram 1500 Black Express, the 2018 Ram 1500 Big Horn Black features convenience items such as an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7.0-inch gauge cluster display. (This information was compiled from caranddriver.com and dodge.com.)

We are so excited to see these updates and upgrades in person! Soon the new Ram 1500 models will be rolling into the All Star Dodge Ram dealership and you will be able to test drive the 2018 models! Start by taking a look at the 2017 Ram 1500 models to get a good idea of what the 2018 models will be like!

What’s coming for the Ram Lineup?

Ram 1500 at All Star Dodge Ram near Ellisville

We like taking a look at what is coming soon for the Ram lineup of trucks. It’s fun to see the concept trucks that are coming and what all they might have to offer! Today we want to take a look at what we hope will soon be coming to All Star Dodge Ram near Ellisville.

The next generation of Ram 1500 pickup trucks, coded DT, is likely to have some lighter materials accompanying the usual steel, to increase the fuel economy and load capacity. Some models may gain some cab space, as well. It’s scheduled to go into production in early January 2018, as a 2019 model, at the Sterling Heights assembly plant — a move from the traditional Warren plant.

The new Rams are supposed to have grilles that are not quite as tall, so they can improve their aerodynamics. The huge Rebel tailgate letters may be replaced by the Ram logo or smaller letters; but the “big rig” styling will continue. The crosshair is said to be returning in force, with Dodge giving it up instead of Ram. Automotive News wrote that the headlights will be smaller and integrated into the grille, with horizontal fog lights put into the bumper; they also projected a flatter center console to provide more space.

“The Pentastar upgrade with direct injection should boost power to 310-320 hp, with higher economy and better low end torque. A forced-induction straight-six is expected around 2020; and there’s even talk of a four cylinder turbo, around 290 hp, as an economy option for fleets (and to get the “highway mpg” advertising number).”-allpar.com

In the mean time, take a look at the current Ram 1500 that is on display at All Star. We are sure that you will love it!

Let’s Get Classy with a Ram!

Ram Trucks at All Star Dodge Ram near St. Louis

We are super excited to announce that the Ram line of trucks is getting to release a couple of new trim levels on their trucks. These trucks will soon be available at All Star Dodge Ram near St. Louis. These new trims pay homage to the Lone Star State!

Shown at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, Ram unveiled two new special appearance packages for its pickups that have a distinctly Texan twang. The 2018 Ram Laramie Longhorn Southfork, named after the real-life ranch made famous by J.R. Ewing on TV’s “Dallas,” features upgraded leather upholstery in a distinct brown and beige color combo, plus leather wrapped around its pillar-mounted grab handles. Its steering wheel combines walnut wood with—you guessed it—leather. If that’s not enough, the truck’s headliner and visor mirrors are suede. The Laramie Longhorn serves as the lineup’s new flagship and it features bold “Longhorn” badging to match.

“Ram says it’ll offer the Southfork package on 2018 model year 1500, 2500, and 3500 versions of its trucks in both rear- and four-wheel drive. Additionally, Ram is extending its Lone Star Silver Edition package to include 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty versions of the truck lineup in addition to the half-ton Ram 1500. The appearance package builds on the Texas-only Lone Star package with additional chrome details outside, side steps, and 20-inch alloy wheels.”-thecarconnection.com

Ram 1500 Details!

Ram 1500 at All Star Dodge Ram near Town and Country

We are so excited for the 2019 Ram 1500 and we want to shout it from the rooftop! It won’t be long now and the 2019 Ram 1500 will be at All Star Dodge Ram near Town and Country. Today we want to share with you some of the details on the 2019 Ram 1500!

There are many details on this uncovered prototype that clearly match the heavily shrouded Ram 1500 prototypes that have been caught over the last couple of weeks: First, the placement of the shark-fin antenna is an exact match. Second, the interior A-pillar grab handle is identical in both the covered and uncovered trucks. Third, the trucks are riding on the exact same six-lug wheels. Fourth, the same assembly details are visible under the rear wheel well, telling us that the covered and uncovered trucks are the same animal.

The prototype’s headlights and taillights are revealed completely free from disguise. The headlights’ new shape is shown in profile in the less disguised photo along with further details revealed in the LED lighting details visible behind the mesh on another camouflaged prototype. The Ram 1500’s headlight design will be slimmer and more aggressive than on the current model. The undisguised taillights show LED strips that match perfectly the LED strips visible behind the camouflage mesh.

Although it wasn’t captured in photos, we were able to visually confirm that the less camouflaged Ram test truck was still fitted with a variant of Dodge’s familiar crosshair grille on this particular trim package. (This information was compiled from news.pickuptrucks.com, ram.com, as well as our own looks at the spy shots.)

Bad at Keeping Secrets About New Models

Ram 1500 at All Star Dodge Ram near Town and Country

There have been mules galore on the road near FCA’s plants and we have been loving all of the spy shots that we are getting to see! Today we want to share with you some of the things that we saw on the 2018 Ram 1500, which will soon be available at All Star Dodge Ram near Town and Country.

“Luckily we were able to take a quick peek inside the cabin of the future 1500, and things look promising. For starters, the test mule had the same steering wheel as the Pacifica. This could suggest the two are going to share the same infotainment system and a similar setup for the adaptive cruise control system. On top of that, a new rotary gear selector seems to be in use on the truck while the design looks to be slightly more modern than before.”-carttraction.com

The 2018 1500 which now goes under the code name DT also has an extensive vertical bar and a little slimmer horizontal slot. It seems that they will follow fashion that suggests that slimmer is prettier because the headlights will also be thinner and they will also lose some of its square shape. No need to mention that front lights will most likely feature high-end LED tech. Moving onto the lower end of the front fascia, we see empty spaces probably reserved for a new set of fog lights, while the skid place is now off-colored and leaves space for work in progress which 2018 Ram 1500 certainly is. As far as the hood goes, it will continue to be a bit bulky just as the RAM fans love it. Just, this time around it will feature more pyramidal shape instead of an old rectangular. (Information compiled from carttraction.com, ram.com, and widely released spy shots.)

Ram Trucks Getting Sporty

New Ram Trucks at All Star Dodge Ram near St. Peters

It’s no secret that Ram trucks are incredibly powerful and delightful to ride in. We are really excited to report that for 2018, it looks like the Ram line up of trucks is getting a little more sporty. We want to explore that new sporty look here today.

The cross-hair grille design can be traced back to the 1986 Dodge Ram. Now that Ram is no longer a part of the Dodge brand, it’s not surprising the relatively young truck brand is trying to separate itself from its Dodge brand mates that also use the cross-hair grille.

“The new-for-2018 Ram 1500 Big Horn Black continues to bear the cross-hair mug of Rams past. Looking much like the Ram 1500 Black Express that was introduced in 2013, the Big Horn Black features black paint, black wheels, black badges, and black headlight bezels. Unlike the lesser Ram 1500 Black Express, the 2018 Ram 1500 Big Horn Black features convenience items such as an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7.0-inch gauge cluster display.”-caranddriver.com

Ram Changes for the New Model Year

New Ram Trucks at All Star Dodge Ram near Ellisville

It’s the time of year that we start talking about the different changes that we are looking to see for the new model year. We are really excited about some of the different changes that we are hoping to see for the next model year – let’s take a look at those today!

The Ram 1500, Fiat Chrysler Automobile’s half-ton full-size pickup, receives a few changes though several models add standard equipment.

The Rebel gains the most features, including the Uconnect multimedia system with an 8.4-inch screen, automatic temperature control, limited-slip differential, security alarm, remote start, a premium gauge cluster with a 7-inch center display, a backup camera and rear parking sensors. The price rises accordingly: the two-wheel- drive Rebel increases $1,725 to $46,315 and the four-wheel-drive version is $1,895 more expensive at $48,415 (all prices include destination double check with the team at All Star for the most accurate price).

Other models get a handful of new standard features: The Sport adds remote start and an alarm; the Laramie Longhorn adds LED bed lighting, keyless entry with push-button start and rain-sensing wipers; and the Bighorn gets automatic temperature control.

“The Ram 1500 lineup encompasses a broad range of choices. It includes regular, Quad Cab (extended cab) and four-door crew-cab body styles. The regular cab is available with a 6.4- or 8-foot bed, the Quad Cab with the 6.4-foot bed and the crew cab with a 5.7- or 6.4-foot bed. Engine choices include a base 3.6-liter gas V-6, a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6 and a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8. Ram differs from other half-ton pickups with its coil-spring rear suspension (instead of traditional leaf springs) and available four-corner air suspension, and it offers several clever and unique features such as the RamBox locking exterior storage and aluminum wheels with color inserts.”-news.pickuptrucks.com
