2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

new Jeep Cherokee in MOThe 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is probably one of the most recognized and purchased 4x4s in America, and for good reason.  These lauded SUVs are capable in almost any terrain and have a tradition of excellence that goes back to when Jeeps first started tackling the great outdoors.

The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is the entry level model in the Cherokee line, but that doesn’t mean that the people at Jeep don’t pack this truck full of features.  Part of the reason for that is during 2012 Chrysler was owned by Mercedes Benz and some features and parts were shared among these distant cousins.  Of course even outside of this Mercedes era, Jeeps were well known to have a variety of features and high end interiors.  The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo keeps with that standard.

For starters the Laredo offers a flexible fuel V6 engine that is mated to a 5 speed automatic transmission.  This gives the Laredo 290hp and the ability to pay up to 5000 pounds.  This engine will bring this SUV to 60mph in 9 seconds, which isn’t too bad for a vehicle that tips the scales at over 2 tons.  Rear wheel drive is standard on the Laredo, but of course there are a variety of four wheel drive options available and even an all-wheel drive option for the 2012 model year.

The interior of the Laredo offers a clean and rugged look.  All the controls are simple to use and well laid out as are all the gauges.  The seats are comfortable and firm with 8 way power adjustments for the driver.  The included navigation system gives drivers an easy to read display and a centralized location for all vehicle information.  The six speaker stereo with MP3 auxiliary connectivity gives drivers a great sound system and plenty of entertainment options.

The  2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, available at All Star new Jeep Dealer near St Peters is priced at around $24,000, and gives buyers a competent off road vehicle that looks and works equally well about town.

The 2012 Grand Cherokee Gets High Ratings

new Jeep Dealer MOAll Star Dodge Chrysler new Jeep Dealer in Bridgeton MO knows that Jeep’s 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo shares a driving platform with the 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class.  Don’t expect a race car attitude, but test drivers find that the Jeep Grand Cherokee performs more like a crossover than the legendary off-road SUV that it is.

Automotive critics say that even though the Grand Cherokee’s performance is undeniably Jeep-like, it’s been given an interior that some auto writers compare with luxury brands such as Lexus. Past generations of the Grand Cherokee models are infamous for their spare, low-quality interiors, so reviewers are doubly impressed that Jeep was able to upgrade the new model’s interior so effectively.

With overall performance evaluated, most test drivers say that if you’re shopping for a family SUV that can negotiate both off-road trips and carpool duty, the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is rated as top pick in its class

But the 2012 Grand Cherokee, with its well-trimmed and roomier interior, powerful V6, and more refined performance and ride, is in fighting shape as a top contender among midsize SUVs.” — Edmunds

“The new Grand Cherokee is a very strong entry in its class, and deserving of consideration from buyers in this crowded segment.” — Consumer Guide

“This new one blends an exceptionally refined and solid chassis with a plush interior. It provides nearly full-size SUV roominess, towing capacity and, of course, it maintains the Jeep trail capability.” — Popular Mechanics

“No matter your destination or proclivities, there’s a Grand Cherokee to suit your needs on road, and the competition doesn’t even come close to matching its abilities off road.” — Autoblog

The Dodge Charger SRT8

new Dodge Dealer in MOAutomotive reviewers agree that the Dodge Charger SRT8 is one of the most aggressive-looking American muscle cars in history, which is not a compliment lightly given by auto sources. The Charger sports a blacked-out front end and rocket-retro tail lights, and is capable of showing those tail lights by outperforming almost every sport sedan money can buy. Dodge has raised the standard for muscle car design with the new Charger SRT8.

Test drivers agree the verdict on the original Charger SRT8 was simple. Fast. The 6.1-liter HEMI was rock steady as always, the suspension was tuned and tight. Exterior reviewers were impressed with the TIE-fighter exterior race lines.  Automotive critics report; “for the 2012 model, Dodge has eliminated the 2011 Charger’s design challenges while turning up the heat on the high performance goodies we love.”

Many car shoppers ask is this a luxury sedan, a sports sedan, or both”¨Oh, it’s just your everyday family sedan. If, that is, your idea of a “family sedan” comes straight from the AMG family of products,” says Left Lane News. This is the Dodge design team’s take on the stellar Mercedes-Benz E63. The two cars share little, other than a transmission design and some design sharing back in their engineering past. Simply put, the fundamental idea is the same, big rear-wheel-drive car with a big-hearted V-8 engine. Reviewers say both vehicles represent the finest in precision automotive engineering.

To the already much-improved 2011 Charger, the SRT8 gets dialed up with the go-fast goodies Charger owners asked Dodge to supply.  Then Dodge turns the heat up even further with an SRT-specific set of electronics and a high-end seating package, not to mention pretty much every option in the Charger’s long list of available features.

Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn Interior

Dodge Ram trucks in MissouriWhat really sets the Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn trim apart from other Ram editions and from the competition as well, is its luxury interior. Automotive reviewers report the Ram’s abundant use of soft touch surfaces; quality interior materials, and overall innovative design, make the Longhorn standout in the segment.

The Ram full size pickup is equipped with enough luxury features to give a high-end sedan like the Mercedes Benz class a run for its money with standard features such as; exclusive leather seating/steering wheel, heated front seats, steering wheel audio controls, power seat/pedals/mirrors/windows (including rear slider), dual-zone automatic climate control, auto-dim mirrors, rear park sensors, Bluetooth and premium nine-speaker surround-sound audio system. Automotive sources point out that these features, along with other Laramie Longhorn Interior features and options help keep the Ram TOUGH and on top of its class.

New for 2012 the Longhorn package has added a remote start for convenience, rear park assist with a rearview camera for blind spots, comfortable bucket seats/console, ventilated front seats, a navigation system, color-keyed bumpers and special logo badging and paint scheme. Higher end available options include a powered sunroof, an upgraded stereo, chrome step side bar, and a rear-seat entertainment system.

Test drivers favorite features on the Ram are the powerful Powertrains leading the HD category; they are pure muscle with affordable pricing. The optional Cummins turbo diesel 6.7-liter inline six-cylinder delivers 350 horsepower and a wall-pulling 800 pound-feet of torque with the six-speed automatic transmission (best-in-class).

Along with the Cummins turbo diesel the “big rig” exhaust brake is available. Exhaust brakes are composted of original braking equipment designed for eighteen wheelers that provide additional braking and stability when towing extremely heavy loads.  Ram HD’s electronic range select allows for manual limitation of the highest available transmission gear, for manual upshifts and downshifts based on road speed and engine speed.
