2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

new Jeep Dealer in MOAll Star Dodge Jeep Dealer in Ellisville is pleased to announce that automotive critics state that the 2011 Jeep ushered in its fourth generation Grand Cherokee, one of the last models produced during Chrysler’s partnership with Daimier.

This edition of the Grand Cherokee rides on an all-new platform that shares some of the same components as the next generation Mercedes-Benz ML, The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has lengthen its wheelbase by more than 5 inches but only slightly expanded  overall exterior design.

This results in the Jeep Grand Cherokee remaining a dedicated five seater. Even though the Jeep Grand Cherokee shares commonality with the ML-Class, this Grand Cherokee definitely feels like a Jeep product, delivering upgraded levels of refinement and sophistication in the cabin, while maintaining the legendary off-road capability, rugged style and on-road confidence.

If you’re shopping for a traditional SUV that offers good all-around visibility within the cabin, and a polished and functional interior, with plenty of off-road muscle, there’s no need to look any further. For those buyers who like the rugged looks, but want to keep your Jeep on the blacktop, the Grand Cherokee performs impressively on that surface as well.

New for 2011 changes for 2011 models include :
– Upgraded materials improved interior space
– All new V6 engine
– Updated V8 engine and enhanced 4 wheel drive systems
– Adaptive cruise control, and power rear liftgate, and blind spot warning system.

Automotive reviewer’s favorite features on the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee:

When raised to maximum height the system creates 10.7 inches of ground clearance.  This results in better approach and departure angles along with break over height. In reverse the system lowers the vehicle easing entry and egress as well as improving aerodynamics at higher speeds, helping fuel economy ratings.

Select-Terrain
With a twist of a single knob this system tweaks torque distribution as well as transmission and throttle behavior along with stability control and the air suspension, This feature will maximize performance on snow rocks mud sand and other hostile environmental conditions.

The 2011 Grand Cherokee

The 2011 Grand Cherokee offers new models that have lined the show rooms of Jeep Dealers, such as All Star Dodge in Bridgeton Missouri.  Initial development of the Grand Cherokee started as far back as 2006when Chrysler was still tied up with Daimler-Benz (the parent company of Mercedes-Benz). So although the new owner of Chrysler is the Italian Fiat Company, the newest Jeep shares many features with the Mercedes-Benz ML.

The styling is purely Jeep. “It’s our other icon,” says Mark Allen, head of Jeep design, referring to the difference between the Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler.  The 2011 model keeps the familiar Grand Cherokee appearance on the exterior, but it has been described as having “more athletic sculpting and softer edges, the new Grand Cherokee is better dressed to mingle with the soft-roader crossovers in the suburbs.”  Stretching the wheelbase by 5.3 inches has the positive result of adding four inches of knee- and legroom for rear-seat passengers.

Standard for all trim levels is; stainless steel window trim and fog lights.  The three levels are called; Laredo E, Laredo X, Limited, and Overland.

Extras in the higher trim levels include; body-color fascias, larger wheels, and chrome mirrors and handles – According to those who recently test drove the new Grand Cherokee; “Jeep has accomplished its goal of making the lowest priced trim just as attractive as the top-end trim.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has several features that keep the hum of the engine on the outside of the vehicle and not in the cabin.  Features such as laminated glass on the windshield and front doors reduces wind noise, while insulating wheel-well liners hush road and tire noise. Under the hood, there’s a panel between the engine and dashboard made from aluminum and composite material that keeps the engine hum contained.

Not only will one notice that the interior is quiet, it is also very apparent that this is a premium SUV. The top-trim level-Overland receives a stitched leather dash and real wood accents. Lower trim levels have upgraded materials and switchgear. Standard equipment includes a passive entry, keyless ignition, a power driver’s seat, and satellite radio. Options include a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, navigation, a power lift gate, and a panoramic sunroof.
