Brake Parts – Brake Components – All of the parts that are associated with the brake fluid system will succumb to internal corrosion over their lifetime. You will need to replace the calipers, wheel cylinders and master cylinder once every 100,000 miles.
Shocks and Struts – In some vehicles it may be the case that you never have to replace the shocks, however a slight unbalance in the car can cause the shocks to wear prematurely, as can travel on poor and degraded road surfaces. It is recommended that you change all your shocks at once to keep the ride quality consistently good.
Oil and Oil Filter – One of the most commonly changed car parts, your oil needs checking and replacing around every 4,000 miles to ensure the good, smooth running of your vehicle.
Alternator – “This part can suffer fatigue if it is used to run too many high power applications in the car. However it is always recommended to test the wiring and connections before replacing the entire unit.”-breakerlink.com

We are so pumped for the 2018 model year! FCA has decided to make some wonderful changes to a lot of the vehicles including the Ram 3500 that will soon be available at All Star Dodge Ram near Mehlville. We are anxiously awaiting the Ram 3500’s arrival because it has been named top in its class for performance – let’s talk about why and how the Ram 3500 got this award.
The 2018 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty pickup has received upgrades that put it at the top of its class when it comes to torque and towing capabilities, the company announced. A revamp to the optional 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel engine pushes output to a segment-best 930 lb-ft of peak torque, 30 more than in 2017. To fully leverage that extra muscle, Ram Engineering developed a new fifth-wheel tow hitch that allows the 3500 Heavy Duty pull up to a 30,000-pound trailer.
To get the extra torque, the revised Cummins V8 now has a higher boost limit thanks to a new variable-geometry turbo unit and an increased fuel-flow rate. Ram points out these changes do not impact efficiency or durability. With a 30,000-pound capacity, the new fifth-wheel hitch will permit the Ram 3500 Heavy Duty pickup to haul a trailer that previously could only have been handled by a Class 4 or Class 5 truck.
“Ram maintains capability leadership by delivering the highest-ever torque rating for a pickup truck and heaviest fifth-wheel trailer towing capacity,” noted Mike Manley, head of Jeep and Ram brands for FCA. “We understand the attributes most important to our customers within the heavy-duty segment; they demand hard-working, long-lasting capability.” The 2018 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty pickup arrives in dealerships this month.

Jeep Grand Cherokee at All Star Jeep Dealer near Mehlville
We sometimes wonder why the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is available at All Star Jeep Dealer near Mehlville, came to existence. It is one of the larger SUV models in the Jeep lineup. Today we want to take a look at why and when the Jeep Grand Cherokee made its first appearance.
At the time, the Cherokee model in its 10th year, and with consumers now enamored with Ford’s Explorer, Jeep decided it was time to bring another player into the SUV game. Although the Cherokee was still selling well, it really couldn’t compete directly against the bigger and more luxurious Explorer, which Ford brought out as a 1991 model. In 1993, Jeep responded with their handsome Grand Cherokee, which coupled legendary Jeep off-road capability with a smoother highway ride and more spacious interior than its smaller brother.
Three trim levels were initially offered; base, Laredo and Limited. All models boasted two features not seen on other vehicles in the Grand Cherokee’s class: a driver’s side airbag and four-wheel anti-lock brakes. Base models had a few notable features such as full instruments, cloth interior and a five-speed manual gearbox. The Laredo added body cladding, fancier seats, power mirrors and cruise control. And the top-of-the-line Limited came with leather seating, A/C, four-speed automatic transmission, upgraded sound system and power everything. Later in the 1993 model year, the Grand Wagoneer debuted.
“Built on a stiff unibody chassis, which was lighter than a truck-like body-on-frame arrangement, the Grand Cherokee’s 105.9-inch wheelbase was 4.5-inches longer than the Cherokee’s, resulting in more legroom for those riding in the back. Unlike the Explorer or Cherokee, the Grand Cherokee was not available as a two-door model, a smart move on Jeep’s part as four-door SUVs were much more popular with consumers than the two-door variants.”-edmonds.com

Ram 3500 at All Star Dodge Ram near Mehlville
If you are one of the many hard working people in the St. Louis area, you might need a truck that can keep up with your hard work. If this sounds like you, then you need to get the super Ram 3500 at All Star Dodge Ram near Mehlville.
The Ram 3500 is the sort of truck that gives even a temporary owner a powerful urge to stop off at Tractor Supply Co. for a Carhartt jacket, steel-toed work boots, and rawhide gloves. And maybe 20 rolls of barbed wire, a couple dozen bags of cement, and one of every welder they sell. That’s what this big Ram is all about: work. You can outfit the interior with lots of fancy options— really somewhere around $18,045 in extras, but most of that can go to work-related enhancements. (This amount may not be totally accurate, talk to a member of the All Star team for a more exact figure.) Still, upscale features like leather, navigation, heated seats, premium audio, and Uconnect telematics spread only a thin veneer of civilization over a primordial brute with a work ethic that makes your average Calvinist look like a slacker.
“To put the Ram 3500 into perspective, here are some noteworthy numbers: 385 horsepower, 900 lb-ft of torque, up to 7390 pounds of payload capacity, 31,210 pounds of maximum towing capacity. The turbo-diesel V-8s in the Ford and GM behemoths huff up more horsepower than does the Ram’s 6.7-liter straight-six, but the Cummins engineers keep mining more torque, with an increase of 35 lb-ft over the 2015 version.”-caranddriver.com
Don’t just take our word for it, head to All Star today and check out the Ram 3500. Take a test drive and feel the power that this Ram has to offer!
