More Shots of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer in Missouri

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the latest Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer in Missouri. We have been getting glimpses of what the new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited might look like, thanks to some spy shots. Today we want to share with you more of what we saw in those spy shots.

The latest shots show a prototype for the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited while earlier shots showed a test mule for the 2-door Wrangler. Both are due to be revealed late this year or early next, likely as 2018 models. A debut during November’s 2017 Los Angeles auto show is a strong possibility. From the shots, it’s clear the design will be evolutionary.

The boxy silhouette of the new Wrangler, the JL series, looks almost identical to the current JK, seen in one of the shots. Up front will be round lights and a slatted grille, while out back we can see square-shaped taillights similar to those on the current model albeit with an hourglass design.

We can also see similar door cut-lines to the current model, helping to retain the familiar rugged design cues of past Wranglers. Other signature Wrangler cues include the extended front bumper, exposed door hinges and chunky side mirror caps.

“The latest prototype to be spotted is sporting BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A tires, and they appear to be KO2s. Mounted in the center of the tailgate-mounted spare tire appears to be a backup camera setup.”-motorauthority.com

We really are getting super excited about the newest Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Soon you will be able to get this wonderful Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer. We hope to see it on the Jeep dealership lot sometime in November, but we still are not sure when. Keep your eyes out for the new Unlimited!

When Will We See the New Wrangler Unlimited?

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Town and Country

News has been buzzing all year that 2018 is going to mean a new generation of the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The main question that everyone has been asking is when? When will be get to see the new next generation? We think we may now know! We’ve done some looking around online and found some interesting news.

“Jeep fans know the countdown clock for the new Wrangler—code-named JL—is ticking. According to an unnamed dealer source cited by JLWrangler Forums, the 2018 Wrangler will roll off the Toledo assembly line in mid-November, although some variants won’t start production until months later.”-caranddriver.com

The forum reports the four-door Unlimited V-6 hardtop will be the first out, followed by the Dual Top and softtop versions in December. Next up, in February, are the two-door V-6 hardtop and various versions of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder Unlimited. Softtop versions of the four-cylinder, in both body styles, start in March, at which point Jeep will stop building the current JK. A power top (possibly as both hard- and softtop) will be built starting in May 2018, with the diesel coming in August. A hybrid based on the V-6 will arrive later as a 2019 model.

None of these claimed production start times are confirmed by Fiat Chrysler, nor are they on-sale dates. They’re also subject to change. Fans who can’t wait to see the new Wrangler’s sleeker interior and largely same-looking body in person should book a flight to L.A., as the JL will be unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show this fall.

So while this information is not yet confirmed by the higher ups at FCA, we are hopeful to see the newest Jeep Wrangler Unlimited sooner rather than later at All Star Jeep Dealer near Town and Country!

Jeep Wrangler Spy Shots

Jeep Wrangler at All Star Jeep Dealer in MO

We LOVE getting to look at spy shots of the latest vehicles that come out. This includes the Jeep Wrangler that will soon be out at All Star Jeep Dealer in MO. These spy shots were very revealing and we wanted to share what we thought we saw here with you today.

Previously standard on Sahara and Rubicon models, improved LED headlights are something the die-hards have wished for a long time now. The newfangled clusters appear to offer greater lighting performance than the current units, but they’re not alone. They’re complemented by round-shaped fog lights located under the headlights, grafted into the Wrangler’s bumper.

The newest spy photos of the JL Wrangler further reveal two hood vents and a set of chunky BF Goodrich tires wrapped around black-painted wheels fastened with six lug nuts. The body-on-frame configuration also appears to offer better approach and departure angles than the JK Wrangler, whereas the rear incorporates a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.

There were two mules (test models) out, one of them is fitted with the removable soft top, and the other features some sort of hardtop. According to leaked documents, the first type of 2018 Jeep Wrangler to roll off the line is the two-door JL in hardtop configuration. In March 2018, the Toledo plant will start production of the soft-top Wrangler, whereas right-hand drive models are go for June 11.

“Next August will see the introduction of the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, which will prove popular in markets such as Europe based on the sales figures for the JK and JKU. Over in the United States, the biggest sellers in terms of engine options will be the tried-and-tested Pentastar V6 and the Hurricane inline-4.”-autoevolution.com

New Wrangler Unlimited Interior!

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ladue

It is spy shot season! For those of you who do not know what a shy shot is, it is a photo of a mule (unfinished prototype of a new model or trim) that allows us to speculate on what the finished new product will look like. We have known for a while that the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was going to get a redesign for the 2018 model year – what we did not realize was that the interior was going to get redesigned as well! Let’s take a look at what we saw on those spy shots

No longer will Wrangler owners be forced to peck haphazardly at the small, slow-to-react infotainment touchscreen that is the best offered in higher-end Wranglers today. As seen in this seemingly top-of-the-line mule, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will adopt the latest iteration of Fiat Chrysler’s easy-to-operate and quick-to-respond system in the form of Uconnect 3.0. Although the spy photographer didn’t get close enough to measure the screen, we presume the top-end unit will measure 8.4 inches as it does in other FCA products (expect lower-end 2018 Wranglers to run the smaller but still intuitive and quick 5.0-inch touchscreen setup).

These shots also allow us to see many other buttons scattered across the new Wrangler’s center stack. Directly below the screen sit the truck’s automatic climate controls and a pair of big rubberized knobs for the audio system’s volume and tune functions. “Notably, this mule also features buttons for parking-assist sensors, engine stop/start functionality, and a heated steering wheel, the last of which likely will be appreciated by denizens of snow-covered areas.”-caranddriver.com

Today we want to take a look at the changes that we think we saw on the latest spy shots of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon that you will be able to get at All Star Jeep Dealer near Clayton for 2018.

  • Solid frame, fixed roll cage in roughly the same location as current sport bar
  • Fully removable roof
  • Fully removable doors
  • Overall vehicle and windows/windshield appear taller above the belt line (more headroom and better visibility?)
  • Turns signal on side mirrors which are attached higher on the doors (within new window moldings) than current model.
  • Character line/belt line that runs the length of the car from A pillar to the rear
  • New larger front bumper design which extends out further
  • Fog lights location moved from middle of bumper to the edges
  • Front fenders end higher and contain LED light strips
  • Larger, more blunt/upright grille with kinked slats that bend slightly in the middle
  • Headlights curve into the outer grille slats (matches the previously leaked grille exactly)
  • Hood is slightly longer and appears to be less angular and with less forward rake than the current model
  • Rubicon hood looks similar to the current one, with black vents flanking a center hump
  • Hood latches position have moved forward slightly toward the edge of the hood
  • “Vent and boomerang styling detail on front quarter panels, immediately aft of the front fenders”-jlwranglerforums.com
  • Fold down windshield with two side hinges instead of current center hinge (previously reported by jeep.com)
  • Taller, more raked windshield appears to sit lower (closer to the hood) with flatter glass (compared to current convex windshield)

While these are the changes that we saw, they may not be the final changes – we will have to wait and find out!

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ladue

One of the many wonderful SUV models at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ladue is the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. A lot of people ask, “Isn’t the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited a trim option of the Jeep Wrangler?” The technical answer to this question is, “yes”. However, we think that the Wrangler Unlimited is so special that it deserves its own conversation; it is also offers more customization than some of the other trims levels. Let’s take a closer look at the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

The 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is powered by a 285-hp, 260-lb-ft of torque 3.6-liter V-6 mated to a five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. More Than Expected

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Fenton

It’s easy to see what the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Fenton is an incredibly off-road capable vehicle. Today we are going to take a look back at how the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited got its start. Remember, you can always get the latest generation at All Star!

The JK series 2007 Wrangler Unlimited was unveiled at the New York Auto Show on April 12, 2006. It is stretched even more than the TJ model, and featured four doors. This change made it the last-remaining 2-door SUV in North America to gain a four-door option and made it the only four door convertible in production. A full 20.6 inches (523 mm) was added to the JK Wrangler’s 95.4-inch (2423 mm) wheelbase. It hit production line in August 2006 and was priced near $21,000.

The Unlimited has the same engine and transmission choices as a short-wheelbase JK. X and Sahara trims offer an option of 4×2 rear-wheel drive in the USA. Optional 4×2 was discontinued after the 2010 model year for the Unlimited. 4-wheel drive became standard for the 2011 model year. It is the only four-door convertible available in the US, since the Hummer H1 with optional rag-top is no longer sold.

The Unlimited offers more options and equipment than any previous Wrangler model, including standard electronic stability program and optional seat-mounted side airbags, remote keyless entry, navigation system, and Sirius Satellite Radio. The navigation and satellite systems are a part of the MyGig Entertainment system that also has a hard drive allowing for the storage of MP3 music files and pictures. (This information was compiled from jeep.com and wranglers.com.)

New Wrangler Unlimited Coming Soon

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Clayton

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Clayton will be getting a new trim soon that will change the way that you look at the Wrangler Unlimited. We want to share with you some of the features that the new Wrangler Unlimited will have.

At this point, official information about the next-generation Wrangler Unlimited— known as the JL, internally — is few and far between. We have a decent idea of what to expect based on leaks, spy shots, and revelations made by insiders, but Jeep is keeping its lips sealed until its long-awaited off-roader breaks cover this fall at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The JL-series model will continue to feature a tall grille with seven vertical slots, round headlights, flared fenders, and a rear-mounted spare tire. Its overall silhouette won’t change much, either. Perhaps the most notable modification up front is that the turn signals will move from the grille to the fenders. In profile, expect the JL to adopt a more rakish windshield, a small concession made in the name of aerodynamics. The back end will receive only minor tweaks, such as new-look lights inspired by the ones found on the Renegade. “The hood and the doors will be made out of aluminum to minimize overall weight, according to a supplier memo leaked to the press last fall. Surprisingly, the Wrangler’s removable top might be replaced by a series of individual panels that can be stored on-board, allowing owners to go topless on a whim,” (digitaltrends.com).

What is the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited ?

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ladue

What is the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited? This is a question that the people at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ladue frequently are asked. This is because there is sometimes some confusion about the differences between the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Today we want to describe the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited so that it is a little bit easier to spot the differences.

A big reason that this confusion happens is because the Unlimited is technically a trim of the Jeep Wrangler.

Wrangler uses a smooth and fancy Chrysler Pentastar 3.6-liter V6, and a 5-speed automatic transmission designed by Mercedes-Benz with an available 6-speed manual. The engine makes 285 horsepower with 260 pound-feet of torque, scooting a two-door to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds, with the heavier four-door Wrangler Unlimited trailing behind, in 8.4 seconds. Wrangler features a rugged chassis with high ground clearance and skid plates, and solid axles front and rear.It is an amazing machine when it comes to scrambling over boulders. (New tricks by the Rubicon model, in pursuit of bigger boulders, include electronic disconnection of the sway bar to allow extreme wheel articulation and stability in extreme situations, but the Rubicon is another trim different from the Unlimited.)

“The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is a four-door that comes with a hard top, soft top, or both. The Freedom hardtop is like a T-top, with easily removable roof panels. The soft top is easier to get down than it used to be, but the T-top is the easiest to manage.”-autoblog.com

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited the Most Incredible Trim

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ellisville

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ellisville is a super capable off road SUV that is designed to handle the roughest terrains. What you might not know is that the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, while sometimes held out as its own model, is actually a trim of the Jeep Wrangler model. The main difference between the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is that the Wrangler Unlimited is actually longer than the regular Wrangler. Some would say that the Wrangler Unlimited is better equipped to handle really rough terrain, but that is just the opinion of some individuals. Today we want to talk a little bit about the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited model and some of the changes it has seen through the years.

Jeep made no major changes to the 2009 Wrangler Unlimited, adding start assist, a sway control system and some minor storage upgrades. In 2010, Jeep added a removable soft top, and made fog lights, towing hooks and a compass standard in the base model, as well as making some slight changes to the trims. The 2011 Wrangler Unlimited featured a newly designed interior that boasted bigger windows, offered powered mirrors, all-new climate control, Bluetooth integration and a few other minor changes.

The 2012 model year featured a standard V6 engine that was rated at 285 horsepower with a standard five-speed automatic transmission and 4WD. In 2013, Jeep added a system that monitored tire pressure and updated a few trim levels. The 2014 Wrangler Unlimited remained unchanged from the previous model year.
