Do You Feel Patriotic?

Jeep Patriot at All Star Jeep Dealer near Illinois

When you are shopping for a great Jeep to drive, you might wonder which Jeep at All Star Jeep Dealer near Illinois would be best for you. We are going to talk about the Jeep Patriot and the different things that it offers to its drivers.

Here in the good ol’ U.S. of A. the Patriot uses either the 2.0 L or 2.4 L World gasoline I4 engine. (In Europe and Australia there are some different engine types.)Both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are available. The Patriot features two four-wheel drive systems both of which are electronically controlled. The basic four-wheel drive system is called Freedom Drive I. This system is a full-time front-wheel-drive based 4WD/AWD system that is front-wheel-drive when it has traction, but can automatically put up to 20-30% power to the rear wheels, or can be locked in 50-50 below a certain speed. The other system, called Freedom Drive II, is based on Freedom Drive I, but by using the vehicle’s CVT transmission it is capable of a 19:1 gear reduction simulating a low range usually found in vehicles with dedicated transfer cases. The 2.4 L GEMA I4 is an option for the 4X2 model Patriot. (The Patriot uses a continuously variable transmission equipped with a four wheel drive system, marketed as Freedom Drive II, capable of holding the lowest ratio the CVT can reach, in lieu of a traditional two-speed transfer case. The Patriot carries Jeep’s “Trail Rated” badging.)

In 2009, Jeep Patriot added an extended range electric vehicle to its trim line up. It was not well received and lacked the driving power most Jeep drivers want, so FCA got rid of this model. (This information was compiled from Jeep.com.)

Goodbye Patriot, Hello Patriot?

Jeep Patriot at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ellisville

We have heard for months that the Jeep Patriot would be merged with the Jeep Compass to make an awesome CUV mashup. We have gotten word about what this new model will look like, at it seems like it is going to resemble a baby Grand Cherokee. While you can still get the Jeep Patriot at All Star near Ellisville, we want to talk about what this new model might look like and feature.

Starting with the skin, it’s like Jeep’s designers scaled down the Grand Cherokee’s profile to fit on the new crossover’s stretched Renegade platform. The headlights, grille, and taillights looked like shrunken items from Jeep’s flagship crossover, too. This is good news – even after its 2011 facelift the Compass was a homely little thing, and the Patriot was boxy at a time when CUVs were going for smoother, more aerodynamic lines. Jeep’s new CUV is avoiding those mistakes by aping one of the company’s most popular designs.

Only the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and center stack appear in the interior images, so we can’t tell how the stretched chassis impacts rear-seat legroom compared to the Renegade/Fiat 500X. But in front, it looks like a Jeep – FCA’s corporate steering wheel and HVAC controls are present and accounted for, but the usual touchscreen display looks bigger the expected 8.4-inch unit. That could just be the camera angle playing tricks on our eyes. We can’t make any judgments about the material choices, but we’d expect quality to be on par with the larger Cherokee.

What to Expect for the Patriot in 2017

Jeep Patriot at All Star Jeep Dealer near Creve Coeur

We have known for some time that Jeep would be merging the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Patriot into one super Jeep model. What we have not been sure about is what this new merged model will look like. As spy shots have been becoming available, we are starting to get a better picture of what this new combination model will look like and offer; we want to share with you how we think things are shaping up.

The SUV, which retains the same shape as the prototypes our photographers captured testing earlier this year, borrows a sizable amount of styling cues from the larger, more expensive Jeep Grand Cherokee. Are we getting a new Jeep that is similar to the Grand Cherokee, just smaller?

“If the SUV’s badging is anything to go off of, Jeep will retain the Compass moniker for the upcoming vehicle. At the front, the SUV has a similar grille to the Grand Cherokee with seven rectangular openings, which are smaller than the ones found on the current compass, with chrome trim. The headlights and LED daytime lights are also similar to the ones on the Grand Cherokee.” -autoblog.com

The black roof, which is a new touch for Jeep, is a nod toward the SUV’s European competitors like the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The new model loses the square-like taillights on the previous model for oval-shaped ones. Overall, the SUV adds modern touches to the aging Compass and Patriot models while staying true to Jeep’s iconic look.

While we still are not 100% sure on what to expect from this new model, we are sure that it will have everything that we expect from a Jeep combined with all of the finest features of the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Patriot. Jeep Patriot at All Star Jeep Dealer near Clayton

When you are considering which SUV to purchase from the very many that are available, you might realize that some are just better than others. One of the great SUV models available today is the Jeep Patriot that is available at All Star Jeep Dealer near Clayton. Today we want to share with you some of the great benefits of the Jeep Patriot.

Pure Horsepower – “Compared to the Mazda CX-5 2015, the Jeep definitely packs more power on the go. Both SUVs have an engine displacement of 2.0L but the Jeep boasts of 158HP @ 6400 rpm, while the Mazda packs 155HP @ 6000.” – carbuying strategies.com

Wheels Ready for Adventure – The wheel quality used on the 2015 model has been maintained in the 2016 Jeep Patriot. It spots high-grade steel wheels that hold 16 x 6.5 inch tires. The tires are P205/7OR16 models and are designed for all seasons. Two spare tires are offered on purchase—an inside mounted spare as well as a temporary spare.

Safety First – Given it’s a Sport SUV that will be cruising at top speeds, the Jeep Patriot 2016 definitely has to come with safety guards to protect against any mishap on the road. It is fitted with 4-wheel ABS brakes reinforced with emergency braking assist. The front disc and rear drum are well ventilated to ensure your brakes don’t overheat, hence cutting down the effects of wear and tear.

The interior is surrounded with safety airbags on the front, rear and side mounts. For child safety, the Jeep is fitted with seat anchors and safety locks on rear doors. While in motion, the Jeep Patriot 2016 has a built-in stability and traction control feature, to keep the car steady despite the road conditions. A digital tire pressure monitoring system is included as well.

Replacement is Coming!

Jeep Patriot at All Star Jeep Dealer near Kirkwood

We have been a longtime fan of the Jeep Patriot that is available at All Star Jeep Dealer near Kirkwood. We found out earlier in the year that the Jeep Patriot was in its last year of production and that we would have to say goodbye to this model. The Patriot model is not the only one that is going away, the Jeep Compass is also going away. These two models being gone was going to mean a serious gap in the Jeep lineup. No worries though, Jeep decided to replace the Patriot and the Compass with a model that is a combination of all of their best features. We recently got to view some spy shots of the replacement model, and we want to share with you what we saw in the photos.

“Starting with the skin, it’s like Jeep’s designers scaled down the Grand Cherokee’s profile to fit on the new crossover’s stretched Renegade platform. The headlights, grille, and taillights looked like shrunken items from Jeep’s flagship crossover, too. This is good news – even after its 2011 facelift the Compass was a homely little thing, and the Patriot was boxy at a time when CUVs were going for smoother, more aerodynamic lines. Jeep’s new CUV is avoiding those mistakes by aping one of the company’s most popular designs.” -autoblog.com

Under hood, there are reports that FCA’s nine-speed automatic will be the only transmission choice. FCA will call on its new 2.0-liter, Hurricane four-cylinder engine, the spies claim, but we also expect the less powerful 2.4-liter, four-cylinder from the Renegade and Cherokee.

For more information on the existing Jeep Patriot, head to All Star. There is still time to get this great model before it is gone!

When you are shopping for a new Jeep Patriot it can be a really fun time, but it can also be stressful. We want to help you get past the stressful part of car buying so that you can really enjoy yourself. Today we want to share with you a few tips to help you get a great deal on a new Jeep Patriot at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ladue.

Get Approved for a Loan – “A powerful first step in the car buying process is to get approved for a loan. Getting approved for a loan from a bank, credit union or online lender will show you what interest rate you qualify for. If the interest rate offered is unexpectedly high, you will know that there are problems with your credit history that need to be resolved before you move forward. Getting approved in advance will also mean you can negotiate at the dealership as a cash buyer, which is much easier. You can still accept dealership financing, but getting approved before you even walk into the dealership will be the bargaining chip to get you the best interest rate.” – edmonds.com

All Star offers guaranteed financing for everyone who wants to buy a car from their lot. Even if your credit is not great, they can get you a loan. Having a loan before you step onto the lot is a good negotiating tool, but not a requirement.

Get a Price Quote – Once you find a Jeep Patriot that you would like to take home, you need to get a price quote. This is really easy to do if you go through the All Star website and check out their online inventory, there is even a link right there to get a quote on the vehicle in which you are interested! Jeep Compass: A Replacement or a Redesign?

3d human with a red question mark

Jeep Compass at All Star Jeep Dealer near St. Louis

About a couple of months ago, Jeep announced that they would be replacing the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Patriot with a single crossover vehicle. We expected to see it at the big Javits Center auto show earlier this year, but it was no where to be seen. We think this is because a replacement isn’t actually coming – we think we should really be planning to see a redesign of the Jeep Compass. You can still get the current Jeep Compass model at All Star Jeep Dealer near St. Louis.

Is there something that we are missing? Where is the new replacement? When will it be coming? According to leftlanenews.com, “”We decided to launch the new C [segment] SUV in Brazil. It’ll be the first plant that gets the global vehicle, so no delays — it’s on track,” explained the executive in an interview with Australian website Motoring.”

Manley added Jeep won’t introduce the crossover — which will retain either the Compass or the Patriot nameplate — until later this year. His comments suggest we’ll see the new Compass/Patriot in the metal for the first time at the Sao Paulo Motor Show that will open its doors to the press on November 8th. It’ll make its North American debut a couple of weeks later at the Los Angeles Motor Show.

“Positioned between the Renegade and the Cherokee, the Compass/Patriot is expected to use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine bolted to either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional nine-speed automatic unit. It will ride on an evolution of the architecture that underpins the Renegade, and recent spy shots suggest its front fascia will borrow a handful of styling cues from the range-topping Grand Cherokee.” -leftlanenews.com
We are going to have to wait and see what the new model will look like before we decide whether or not this new model is a true replacement or a redesign.
