Jeep Renegade at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ladue
There are certain vehicles that cause you to to identify with their name. One such SUV is the Jeep Renegade at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ladue. If you decide to own a Jeep Renegade, it is likely that the word renegade would also describe you and your personality. We think that this is great! We love when people personally identify with the car, truck, or SUV that they own and operate – with one exception. Icy and snowy road conditions. It is in these rough road conditions that you should not be a renegade, but rather someone who is cautious and does not take risks. Today we want to share with you some of the myths of icy roads.
Myth: The worst icy road dangers are during big winter storms.
Truth: The road ice hazard isn’t the minor fender-benders or slide-offs common during snowstorms. The real danger is the serious, highway-speed crashes during light icing events that take drivers by surprise.
When a major snowstorm hits, communities are typically highly aware and prepared for the event prior to its impacts. Schools and workplaces close. Highways officials close many of the high-speed roads, including the interstates, that are the usual spots for fatal icy road accidents. “When the storm is in progress, the sheer amount of snow prevents vehicles from easily reaching the speeds that are often associated with fatal accidents. Most accidents in snowstorms happen at the onset of the storm or on its fringes, where accumulations are lower.”-icyroadsafety.com
Snow accounts for the most icy road fatalities during the winter, but it is the minor events – from a dusting to a couple of inches of accumulation – that cause the most serious snow-related accident outbreaks.

We love when we get the opportunity to look at the spy shots as they are just getting released. Some of the spy shots that we got a look at recently were the interior shots of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that will soon be at All Star Jeep Dealer in Missouri. We want to share with you some of what we saw!
No longer will Wrangler Unlimited owners be forced to peck haphazardly at the small, slow-to-react infotainment touchscreen that is the best offered in higher-end Wranglers today. As seen in this seemingly top-of-the-line mule, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will adopt the latest iteration of Fiat Chrysler’s easy-to-operate and quick-to-respond system in the form of Uconnect 3.0. Although our spy photographer didn’t get close enough to measure the screen, we presume the top-end unit will measure 8.4 inches as it does in other FCA products (expect lower-end 2018 Wrangler unlimiteds to run the smaller but still intuitive and quick 5.0-inch touchscreen setup).
These shots also allow us to see many other buttons scattered across the new Wrangler Unlimited’s center stack. Directly below the screen sit the truck’s automatic climate controls and a pair of big rubberized knobs for the audio system’s volume and tune functions. Notably, this mule also features buttons for parking-assist sensors, engine stop/start functionality, and a heated steering wheel, the last of which likely will be appreciated by denizens of snow-covered areas.
“One tier lower sit the window switches in the traditional location for power-window-equipped Wrangler Unlimiteds; this is essentially confirmation that the Wrangler Unlimited’s doors will continue to be removable. Surrounding the switches are a 12-volt charging port and a “media” door that likely hides one or more USB ports and perhaps an SD card slot.”-caranddriver.com

Jeep Wrangler at All Star Jeep Dealer in MO
We are so excited to announce that the next generation of the Jeep Wrangler will soon be available at All Star Jeep Dealer in MO. The first photos of the new Jeep Wrangler were finally released and we want to share with you some of the things that we saw!
The first 2018 Wranglers are expected to roll off the line at Jeep’s Toledo, Ohio assembly plant in mid-November, with a public reveal scheduled not long after. It’s understood that the Wrangler will debut at the LA Auto Show, which means we’ll finally get to see it in the metal sometime in the last week of November. Automotive News reports that given this launch timeline, the 2018 Wrangler should arrive in dealers early next year.
The JK Wrangler’s interior is pretty utilitarian even in high-spec trucks, but spy photos indicate that the JL’s will be a lot nicer. It looks like the Wrangler will get Fiat Chrysler’s latest UConnect infotainment system, a welcome upgrade. Dual-zone climate control and a heated steering wheel appear to be options too.
The Wrangler will also retain its dashboard-mounted window switches, further evidence that the removable doors might remain. That dashboard is rather shallow and upright, just like older Wranglers, and it appears portions will be color-matched to the exterior paint. We’re not sure whether that’ll be a high-end option or a standard feature.
“Yes, after years of teasing concepts, Jeep is finally building a Wrangler pickup, rumored to be called the Scrambler. You’ll have to wait a little bit longer for the Wrangler pickup, however, as Jeep boss Mike Manley said earlier this year that production won’t start until late 2019. Manley wants to be sure that production is going smoothly for the regular Wrangler before Jeep’s Toledo, Ohio factory starts building a second body style.”-roadandtrack.com

Jeep Patriot at All Star Jeep Dealer near Town and Country
The Jeep Patriot at All Star Jeep Dealer near Town and Country is a wonderful SUV that has a lot to offer its drivers and passengers. Today we want to share some information with you about the Jeep Patriot. After all, how can you love something if you don’t know about it?
In the U.S. the Patriot uses either the 2.0 L or 2.4 L gasoline I4 engine. Both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are available. The Patriot features two four-wheel drive systems both of which are electronically controlled. The basic four-wheel drive system is called Freedom Drive I. This system is a full-time front-wheel-drive based 4WD/AWD system that is front-wheel-drive when it has traction, but can automatically put up to 20-30% power to the rear wheels, or can be locked in 50-50 below a certain speed. The other system, called Freedom Drive II, is based on Freedom Drive I, but by using the vehicle’s CVT transmission it is capable of a 19:1 gear reduction simulating a low range usually found in vehicles with dedicated transfer cases. The 2.4 L GEMA I4 is an option for the 4X2 model Patriot.
For Europe and Australia, a 2.0 L (1968 cc; 120 cid; 140ps) Volkswagen-manufactured diesel engine is fitted along with a 6-speed manual gearbox. All EU cars are fitted as standard with four wheel drive and a version of the Freedom Drive System that tuned differently from the U.S. versions, but with similar capability to FDII with brake traction control and three switchable electronic stability control and traction control settings for on or off-road use.
The Patriot won 2007 Green 4×4 Award and the 2008 4×4 of the Year in the UK. (This information was compiled from jeep.com and wikipedia.com.)

Jeep Grand Cherokee at All Star Jeep Dealer near Saint Charles
There are so many powerful and capable SUV models under the FCA umbrella that sometimes it can be hard to pick just one. Especially when you take into account just how man different trim options each SUV has to offer. Today we want to focus on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk edition.
“Dodge’s 707-hp Challenger and Charger Hellcat models are loud, instigate bad behavior, and can generate local, rubber-sourced cloud cover with merely a stab of their gas pedals. They’re the vehicular equivalents of a Daytona Beach spring-break hookup, the sort of ride that your dad might high-five you (behind Mom’s back) for buying. But what if there were a Hellcatted vehicle tame enough, relatively speaking, to bring home and introduce to Mother?”-caranddriver.com
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is the third Fiat Chrysler vehicle to have the unhinged supercharged V-8 stuffed under its hood, and it’s the quiet Hellcat next door. Not literally, of course—have you heard a blown Hemi V-8 at full whack?—but with standard all-wheel drive mitigating the engine’s tire-spinning proclivities, plus its under-the-radar looks, the Trackhawk can at least pass for an upstanding citizen.
With more traction than any Hellcat yet, the Trackhawk has quite a lot of poke despite its pork—the engine adds 259 pounds over the already heavy 475-hp Grand Cherokee SRT. Nonetheless, Jeep claims it can reach 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Per Jeep, the quarter-mile is expected to fly by in 11.6 seconds (at 116 mph!), and, with no electronic governor, the Trackhawk is said to surrender to atmospheric resistance at 180 mph.

Jeep Cherokee at All Star Jeep Dealer near Glendale
The start of the holiday season always makes us feel nostalgic for days gone by. It gets us thinking of warm feelings and favorite memories. Today we want to take a look back at how the Jeep Cherokee and how it started out. Remember, you can get the latest Jeep Cherokee at All Star Jeep Dealer near Glendale.
The Jeep Cherokee is a line of vehicles sold by Jeep under various vehicle classes. Originally sold as a variant of the popular Jeep Wagoneer, the Cherokee has evolved from a full-size SUV to one of the first compact SUVs and eventually into its current incarnation as a crossover SUV. The nameplate has been in continuous use in some form since 1974 and also spawned Jeep’s most successful vehicle, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was originally slated to be part of the Cherokee’s lineup. The vehicle is named after the Cherokee tribe of Native Americans.
The Cherokee was a redesigned reintroduction of a two-door body style Jeep Wagoneer, with a single fixed rear side window with an optional flip-out section. Previously, a two-door version had been available in the Jeep Wagoneer line from 1963 to 1967), although this had the same pillar and window configuration as the four-door Wagoneer. This replaced the Jeepster Commando, whose sales had not met expectations despite an extensive 1972 revamp. The Cherokee appealed to a younger market than the Wagoneer, which was regarded more as a family SUV.
The Cherokee was marketed as the “sporty” two-door variant of Jeep’s station wagon. The term “Sport Utility” appears for the first time in the 1974 Cherokee sales brochure. A four-door was not added to the lineup until 1977. Other than the base model, the trim levels of the Cherokee included the S (Sport), Chief, Golden Eagle, Golden Hawk, Limited, Classic, Sport, Pioneer, and Laredo. Jeep Compass at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ellisville
The Jeep Compass at All Star Jeep Dealer near Ellisville is a well known and popular Jeep model. It has been a fan favorite for a long time but we are sometimes surprised that people just do not know much about this model. Today we want to share with you some exciting new information on the Jeep Compass.
The Jeep Compass launched with much fanfare and has been a runaway hit for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India. Even exports of the car have begun from India since it’s only made here for all the right hand drive markets across the world. The car launched in multiple variants but it was announced at the very start that the petrol Compass would be delivered later in the year. Well, deliveries began last month and we got our hands on one a few days ago. And what’s more, we also got the automatic variant since many of you have been very curious about the Compass automatic. Jeep only offers the automatic on the 1.4 Multiair turbo petrol and it comes in three variants; which are all front wheel drive only as only the diesel gets the AWD. The base Sport variant comes with manual transmission and the top spec Limited and Limited (O) gets the 7-Speed dual-clutch auto box.
“It’s very smooth through the changes too, though it’s a bit slower to respond in heavy bumper-to-bumper traffic at times. It certainly has the smoothness to go with the Compass’ premium appeal as well as its excellent ride quality. Like its diesel counterpart, the petrol too has the ability to swallow mostly anything that comes its way and can take on potholes or bad roads with ease. The steering feels a tad heavier but the 17-inch wheels glide over mostly all rough surfaces with no complaints.”-auto.ndtv.com

Jeep Renegade at All Star Jeep Dealer near Clayton
When you are shopping for a new SUV, we know that you have quite a few from which to choose, but we think that you should consider looking at the Jeep Renegade at All Star Jeep Dealer near Clayton. Today we want to share with you some information on this wonderful SUV!
“The Jeep Renegade is the small, fuel efficient, manual 4×4 wagon(ish) the world has been yearning for. What do you need to know before you buy a Jeep Renegade? The Renegade wears the “Jeep” costume pretty well, and the Trailh.comawk can make its way down a road rough enough to send most crossovers scurrying back to the safety of proper pavement. But the little Renegade no Wrangler. That’s a bummer when you’re trying to rock crawl, and a godsend everywhere else.”-jalopnik
Renegade’s true nature as a compact car isn’t as exciting to talk about as off-road abilities but the reality is, it makes for a much better daily drive.
Handling is well-balanced and the brakes are more than strong enough to keep the little car in check. Especially since it’s in no hurry at all to accelerate, even with the bigger 2.4 engine.
In town is the ideal setting for a Renegade as power feels plenty adequate from stopped to 35 MPH and the stubby shape is ridiculously easy to park. The nine-speed automatic transmission stays busy and never seems to make it to top gear, but operates smoothly enough that you’re never going to think about it.
A lot of the Renegade’s “fun feel” is derived from its looks, and you never forget you’re playing Jeep with all the cute “SINCE 1941″ accents around the interior. For more information on the Jeep Renegade, head to All Star today!

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the latest Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer in Missouri. We have been getting glimpses of what the new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited might look like, thanks to some spy shots. Today we want to share with you more of what we saw in those spy shots.
The latest shots show a prototype for the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited while earlier shots showed a test mule for the 2-door Wrangler. Both are due to be revealed late this year or early next, likely as 2018 models. A debut during November’s 2017 Los Angeles auto show is a strong possibility. From the shots, it’s clear the design will be evolutionary.
The boxy silhouette of the new Wrangler, the JL series, looks almost identical to the current JK, seen in one of the shots. Up front will be round lights and a slatted grille, while out back we can see square-shaped taillights similar to those on the current model albeit with an hourglass design.
We can also see similar door cut-lines to the current model, helping to retain the familiar rugged design cues of past Wranglers. Other signature Wrangler cues include the extended front bumper, exposed door hinges and chunky side mirror caps.
“The latest prototype to be spotted is sporting BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A tires, and they appear to be KO2s. Mounted in the center of the tailgate-mounted spare tire appears to be a backup camera setup.”-motorauthority.com
We really are getting super excited about the newest Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Soon you will be able to get this wonderful Wrangler Unlimited at All Star Jeep Dealer. We hope to see it on the Jeep dealership lot sometime in November, but we still are not sure when. Keep your eyes out for the new Unlimited!
