Jeep Cherokee at All Star Jeep Dealer near Florissant
When you want an SUV that does double duty – great for week day driving and great for fun weekend off-roading – you go to the Jeep line up of vehicles. Each different Jeep has something different to offer, so it is easy to find the Jeep that best suits what you want and need. Today we want to take a look at what we see coming for the Jeep Cherokee in 2018.
We recently got a chance to take a look at the most recent spy shots and this is what we are thinking. We expect the current model’s separated daytime running lights and main projectors to be combined into a single unit, like on the rest of the Jeep lineup. The prototype, though heavily camouflaged, appears to signal that the new lights will flank the grille in a more conventional fashion.
It’s not clear if there will be any major mechanical mods, though it’s possible we’ll see the 9-speed automatic already offered on the smaller Renegade and Compass models make it over.
“We’ve also heard that the Cherokee might receive a high-performance Trackhawk option as part of the facelift. The rumored engine is a tuned version of the 3.2-liter V-6 already available on the Cherokee. In standard form the engine delivers 271 horsepower. Below it is a 2.4-liter inline-4 good for 184 hp. Finally, expect a more accomplished suite of electronic driver aids. Early test mules were spotted wearing numerous sensors front and rear.”-motorauthority.com
We expect to see this model at All Star Jeep Dealer near Florissant later this year. To learn more about the Cherokee and the Jeep line up of SUV models, head to All Star and talk with a member of their team. The friendly and knowledgeable staff would love to help you!
Chrysler Cars at All Star Chrysler near Florissant
We always get really excited when FCA puts out anything regarding what their future plans for the brand might happen to be. We are really excited about some of the news that Chrysler put out over the last couple of days and we wanted to share what we heard. While some of this information is just projections and predictions, we still thought you might like to read about it. Remember, you can always get the latest Chrysler cars at All Star Chrysler near Florissant.
Tipo/Neon: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has studied importing the compact Fiat Tipo sedan into the U.S. from Europe and likely rebadging it as a Chrysler Neon. However, no plan has been announced.
200: Production of the 200 midsize sedan has ended. It will not be replaced.
300: Sources say a planned redesign of the LX-based 300 onto the Giorgio platform, originally scheduled for 2020, has been scrapped. Instead, designers will do a major freshening of the 300 in 2019 in hopes of shedding weight and improving fuel economy. The addition of a turbocharged four-cylinder is a strong possibility to augment an improved V-6 to help get the job done. In the meantime, Chrysler will put a Hellcat engine in its luxury sedan in late 2018.
Pacifica: The well-regarded Chrysler Pacifica minivan will be freshened in 2020.
Midsize crossover: The front-wheel-drive midsize crossover, to be built at FCA’s Belvidere Assembly Plant in Illinois beginning in 2019, will share a platform with the Jeep Cherokee and have three rows of seating, similar to the Dodge Journey.
These are just a few of the vehicles that we might be seeing over the next 3 to 5 years. We know that FCA will commit to providing the latest technologies in each of these models and we cant wait!
Jeep Cherokee at All Star Jeep Dealer near Florissant
Driving the Jeep Cherokee from All Star Jeep Dealer near Florissant is a great pleasure, however, fans of the Cherokee have been wondering when the next full redesign will be done. Initial reports suggested that 2018 will be the year that we see a new Jeep Cherokee, but we are not entirely sure. We want to share the latest gossip on what we can expect to see and when we can expect to see a redesign.
According to reliable Allpar source oh2o, buyers waiting for a fully refreshed Jeep Cherokee may need to hold off until the 2019 model year. The 2018s are starting production a little early, and ordering for the 2019s is expected to start in January 2018.
oh2o reported that the 2019 Cherokee will have the fourth-generation UConnect system and the Hurricane four-cylinder engine. The current 2.4 and 3.2 liter engines will still be sold, as well.
“DarkSky’s rendering shows how the company might make the Cherokee look a little less unusual, while still keeping it different from other Jeeps. The grille is based on that of the Renegade; the main difference, though, is the less unique forward lighting. In back, we expect the large expanse of curved steel to be changed, as well.”-allpar.com
Not making the new Cherokee right off the bag makes sense, in terms of reducing risk. Instead of dealing with a new car and new plant, the company can just change the plant, making the existing car; that would also reduce the demand for new Cherokees until the plant is moving at full speed.
To get your Jeep Cherokee, take a test drive, or learn more about when we will see the latest redesign, head to All Star Jeep Dealer today. Their friendly and knowledgeable would love to assist you!
Parts Department at All Star Dodge near Florissant
We get asked all of the time whether or not it is worth to get our auto part and servicing done at All Star Dodge near Florissant. We always resoundingly reply with a big huge “YES”! Let us go on and explain why dealership parts and dealership service are so wonderful!
Let’s take a look at some of the advantages dealership service departments have to offer. First, in order to maintain their franchises dealerships must pay for training their technicians and providing special tools and equipment. Dealers also have access to proprietary information, information on new vehicles they sell and service. This means that no one else can access this information, which is often necessary for diagnosis and repair. In addition, dealership service departments work mainly on the makes and models that they sell. Since they are very familiar with the particular car line, they can usually pinpoint a problem more quickly and more accurately.
Dealership technicians are usually paid according to a method called flat rate. When a job is dispatched to a technician, the clock starts. If an operation calls for a time frame of two hours, then the labor will be twice the shop’s hourly rate. If the technician is proficient at this particular operation and can do it in half the time, the customer still pays for two hours of labor and the tech earns two hours of pay for one hour of work. Conversely, if the tech does the job in more than the allowed time, the customer still pays two hours of labor. This method of payment holds a standard hourly rate for the customer, and yet rewards highly skilled technicians. This means that the technician at the dealership is more concerned with repairing your vehicle correctly without rushing through to get onto another job. Jeep Compass at All Star Jeep Dealer near Florissant
It is a beautiful day in the St. Louis area! This cooler temperatures are delightful and we are loving it – It’s giving us a great opportunity to check out the inventory of Jeep vehicles on the All Star Jeep Dealer lot near Florissant. While we love all the different models in the Jeep lineup, today we want to focus on the great changes that we see coming for the Jeep Compass in 2018.
The new Jeep Compass is a continuation of the original concept — a tough-bodied, compact crossover with one model engineered for off-roading and three for bad weather, all in a Grand Cherokee-style skin. It carries the Chrysler “Tigershark” 2.4 liter engine, with manual and automatic transmissions, with a two-liter turbo four supposedly a year or three off.
“Power ratings are 180 hp at 6,400 rpm and 175 lb-ft of torque at 3,900 rpm, and a peak towing capacity of 2,000 lb (with tow package and AWD only). Electronic stop-start comes with both automatic transmissions, and includes a secondary battery and upgraded components. The engine has coil-on-plug ignition with dual plugs, and an automatic tensioner on the single-belt accessory drive.”-allpar.com
There is just one engine, with three different transmissions. A Fiat six-speed manual is standard on the Sport and Latitude, with FWD or AWD; a six-speed Aisin is optional with FWD. All wheel drive Compasses can be ordered with the optional nine speed automatic (not a six speed automatic); the Trailhawk is nine-speed only.
Take advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend and check out the different Jeep models at All Star. The team at All Star would be happy to take you on a test drive of the current Jeep Compass and share with you all of the amazing features that it has to offer.
Dodge Durango at All Star Dodge Ram near Florissant
If you are shopping around for a great SUV that has 3 rows of seats and loads of character, you need to check out the Dodge Durango at All Star Dodge Ram near Florissant. This SUV is as powerful as it is comfortable, but don’t take our word for it! We want to share with you what some real owners had to say about their Dodge Durango!
Great vehicle, great value. I was in the market for a new good size SUV ,with great towing features and capacity. Dodge Durango was the perfect fit. I use this vehicle to transport cargo and family. This vehicle covers all aspects of my busy lifestyle from camping, towing my boat, bringing stuff home for my lawn and garden. I couldn’t find a better fit for my lifestyle. I am impressed with the design and performance from this vehicle. If you are looking for a vehicle that’s not going to put you to sleep the Durango is what you are looking for. I am very satisfied in my choice. I smile every time I get in and start this SUV.-James
We bought a new 2017 Durango AWD RT after having an accident in our trusty Jeep Commander HEMI. I drive a Corvette with 465hp and must say, this thing is a BLAST to drive (Keep sport mode on and “eco” mode off). For a family car, you just can’t go wrong. Our Commander was nice, but so much improvement in engine/transmission/electronics over the past 6 years means a MUCH smoother, faster, better sounding beast than I could have imagined. I love this truck and am truly happy with it. Highly recommended! PS, the kids love the extra room in the 3rd row over the Commander too. -Dev

The Jeep Compass at All Star Jeep Dealer near Florissant is a wonderful SUV that has a number of great different options and additions that you can choose that allow you to make the Compass your own. Today we want to take a look at the top trim choices and what each of them provides you.
The Compass Limited is the most comprehensively equipped. Standout features include 18-inch wheels, upgraded exterior trim, a 8.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration), automatic dual-zone climate control, an upgraded driver information display, a power driver seat, heated front seats and leather upholstery. Unlike the Sport and Latitude, the Limited is only available with AWD and a nine-speed automatic.
Though the Trailhawk sits below the Limited in price, it differs greatly in function and features. Only available in AWD with the nine-speed auto, it rides on 17-inch wheels with off-road-oriented tires, a raised suspension and a unique front fascia to maximize approach and breakover angles. Further mechanical changes include its own Selec-Terrain system to help it crawl over steep climbs and rocky surfaces. Red tow hooks front and rear and a matte-black hood accent further differentiate the Trailhawk from the rest of the Compass line, while a hidden set of underbody protection shields keep the engine, oil pan and gas tank from harm’s way. Jeep Cherokee at All Star Jeep Dealer near Florissant
The 2017 Jeep Cherokee at All Star Jeep Dealer near Florissant is a really powerful and impressive SUV. We don’t know if you have had an opportunity to drive one or own one, but you will really want to drive a Cherokee after you read the person thoughts that we got from Edgar, a new Cherokee owner that we had the opportunity to talk to!
What did you buy?: I just purchased a 2017 Cherokee Latitude a few weeks ago, and continue to be impressed. To put it in perspective, I also have a 2016 Honda CRV and can make a good comparison now.
What kind of pricing did you get and do you think you got more value with the Jeep Cherokee?: I had shopped both cars and negotiated rock bottom deals on both. Both cars ended up within $100 of each other, Latitude for the Jeep and EX for the CRV. But compare what I got in terms of value: Power: the 6 cylinder engine of the Jeep is is much more powerful and smooth than the 4 cylinder in the Honda..a 90 hp difference..advantage Jeep. Convenience: The Jeep has Power tailgate, Much better/larger LCD Infotainment System, Remote Start, More Adjustable and comfortable power front seats Auto Mirror, integrated 911 system etc not on the CRV. The CRV came with heated seats and the blind spot camera, both nice things but not of the value of the Jeep. Utility: The Jeep came with Roof Rails, Tow package (can tow 4500 lbs!), and full size spare. Honda did not include roof rails at that price point or tow hitch, and can tow only 1500 lbs if so configured. Advantage Jeep. Design: The Jeep has a unique outdoorsey presence about it, with off color stitching. The CRV is just kind of ‘blah’.
It is nice to see someone really take the time to compare their vehicles, and we are always happy to see more people fall in love with the Jeep Cherokee!

New Dodge Cars at All Star Dodge Ram near Florissant
Dodge has a long history of making the automobiles on which this country runs. Started by the Dodge brothers in the early 1900’s, Dodge is now an emblem of an enduring tradition of quality vehicles. We want to take a look at how Dodge got its start.
“The incredible Dodge Main plant in Hamtramck was started in June 1910, completed in the same year, and staffed with five thousand workers ($6 million in annual payroll); the unusual 24-acre multi-story plant had the assembly line moving from floor to floor, eventually becoming extremely complex. According to Greg Kowalski, one reason for choosing Hamtramck was because it was on two railroad lines, once of which went straight to Ford’s new plant.”-allpar.com
John and Horace Dodge were in sharp contrast to Henry Ford when it came to employee care; they did not invade their houses or dictate religious practice, but did have a fully staffed medical clinic, a department to look after workers’ social needs, and, perhaps most significantly, a machine shop called “the Playpen” where men could fix or invent things after hours. Employees were served huge platters of sandwiches and pitchers of beer at lunch hours, paid for by the company. In the heat of summer, beer was served in the afternoons in the foundry and forge. You might say that Dodge was the originator of the Google model of handling employees – give an employee freedom and perks and they will be more loyal and more productive than if you were to treat them other wise.
This is just a small glimpse of the overall history of Dodge, you can learn even more at All Star Dodge Ram near Florissant. Get your own Dodge and become a part of the legacy that the Dodge brothers started all those years ago.
