Chrysler really invented the idea of the minivan several decades ago, and have been the leader in fun and safe family vehicles since then. With the 2017 year model coming down the line, Chrysler did some redesigns to the beloved Town and Country model. Today we want to take a look at what we can expect from the new model and what fun surprises there might be in store.
These are a few of the changes for the 2017 model:
- 250 pounds of weight reduction, coupled with greater body strength, for better economy and acceleration
- Better handling, ride, and noise reduction; improved sliding doors with no-touch openers
- The new plug-in hybrid is estimated at 30 miles on a charge, 80 MPGe city
- Plusher and better equipped, even the base model; much nicer trim; but still carries a 4×8 plywood sheet
- Dual 10” screens for the middle row, big screens up front.
- Some options, such as HID headlights, are only available in top trim levels
The interior is delightful and spacious. The different interior colors are vast and the stitching is contrasting throughout the interior (higher models); extra-thin chrome surrounds are meant to be elegant. The glossy, high-contrast Uconnect touchscreen (five or 8.4 inches) is flush with the instrument panel. Upper trim levels get a stitched instrument panel. Backlighting is white for buttons and blue for the gauges; other control elements also use blue lighting.

When you are in the market for a new Chrysler Town and Country, you might find yourself out of sorts trying to sort everything out. With the help of All Star near Clayton, we would like to share with you some useful information that is sure to help get the Town and Country that would best suit your lifestyle.
If you have a vehicle that you would like to trade-in, you will need to get an appraisal done by the dealership. You might not think twice about letting someone give your vehicle the once over, but you might remember to think to remove your personal artifacts before they look everything over. “Double check the glove box, the center console, the trunk and any other area that might have anything you want to keep. Also, when you’re digging through the glove box, go through the documents in there for anything that may have your name, address or any other personal information on it and remove it. If you wrote any of this in the owner’s manual, black it out, tear it out, or remove the manual altogether (new manuals can easily be purchased online). Finally, make sure your vehicle is clean inside and out. It makes a difference,” (chryslercaptial.com). If your vehicle is clean on the inside and out, it is a lot easier for the appraiser to look at how good of condition your vehicle is in. Lots of unneeded personal items can get in the way and cause the appraisal not to go your way.

When you are in the market for a family car you might be wondering on what you should focus. There are so many different kinds of vehicles and different things to consider that you might find yourself unsure of how to proceed. Today we want to share with you some tips for successfully finding your new family friendly car.
Think Safety – “Nothing is more important than the safety of your family, so your research for a new family vehicle should make safety a priority. And this means more than looking at NHTSA and IIHS crash safety ratings. These are important, but we at KBB believe it’s equally important to be able to avoid a crash. These days vehicles can be equipped with a wide variety of electronic driving aids that foster safety, such as lane departure warning, blind spot warning and adaptive cruise control with auto brake. Look for them and invest in them.” – parenting.com
Family Size – f you’re a young family, you should consider “overbuying”—but not overspending—to allow for family expansion. If you have one infant child, your needs are very different from parents who have several children. Older children need and want different transportation accommodations than young children. That may seem obvious, but many seem to forget that your family will typically change markedly while you own the family car you are about to buy. Not only will your children age and get bigger, but you might also add to your family with more children and pets. If you don’t plan for these changes, they could catch you by surprise and result in inconvenience at best and accrue major additional expenses at worst.
We think that the family friendly Chrysler Town and Country at All Star near Clayton is the perfect family vehicle!

It has been a rainy week in the St. Louis area. We catch a few glimpses of sunlight, just enough to get our hopes up, and then, the thunder and lightening begin. It’s is really no big deal though, we are used to these early summer storms. What we do think is a little funny is the number of people going out and buying convertibles right now. We know that it is warm right now, but all of the rain makes them unusable. We recommend that you head to All Star near Town and Country and check out the Chrysler Town and Country!
The Chrysler Town and Country is one of the best selling mini vans of all time and is available with a massive number of features, including a DVD entertainment package, advanced speaker system, and luxury interiors. What makes it even better is that the 2016 model has a brand new design to it!
“America has a lot of love for the Chrysler Town & Country. Even though it hasn’t been redesigned for what seems like a decade, the T&C accounted for almost one in every four minivans sold in 2013 — but just wait till folks get wind of the all-new Town & Country that’s for 2016. Offering plug-in hybrid technology that should yield 75 mpg or thereabouts along with an electric-only range of perhaps 35-40 miles, the next T&C might be the most advanced minivan ever built. As for styling, we’re not expecting the radical curves and eccentric windows of the 2012 700C concept van, but then again, look at the swoopy Chrysler 200 sedan that was new for 2015. If that car’s any indication, the T&C could also end up being the sleekest minivan ever built.” – autotrader.com
We know that we absolutely love the 2016 Town and Country, and we are sure that you will too!
Chrysler 300 at All Star near Ladue
Every so often we like to speculate on the different changes that are or might be happening withing the Chrysler Cars line up. Today we want to take a few moments and look at what is going to be different about the 2016 Chrysler Cars that are available at All Star near Ladue.
We all love the Chrysler 300. It is roomy and luxurious, but what is going to be different on the 2016 model from the 2015 model. “The mid-level 300S continues with its 300-hp 3.6-liter V-6, versus the standard V-6’s 292, but gains a sport-tuned chassis with revised springs, bushings, steering, and summer tires. To celebrate Chrysler’s 90th anniversary, a special package is available on Limited models. It includes a panoramic sunroof, top-spec infotainment features, remote start, and badges. Similar packages are available on the 200 and Town & Country” (Car and Driver). We are really excited about the new sport-tuned chassis – it means that we get a little bit of a smoother ride with enhanced dynamics. Also, the limited edition 90th anniversary package is only going to be available for a limited time, so you will want to head to All Star and check out everything that this package has to offer.
With the Chrysler 200 and the Chrysler Town and Country there are only minor trim changes. They are about the same as they were for the 2015 model year with a couple of small tweaks. You will, however, be able to purchase the limited edition 90th anniversary package on both models. This could mean some great upgrades at a limited cost to you. We highly recommend that you head to the All Star dealership and check out everything that is being added in honor of the 90th anniversary of Chrysler!

Sometime it is fun to think about what the next version of our favorite vehicles will look like. The Chrysler Town and Country happens to be one of our favorite vehicles so we did a little looking around and found some interesting information from Car and Driver about what the 2017 Chrysler Town and Country might bring. Here is some of what they think the next year’s model will bring.
“What is fresh is that for the first time, we’ve gotten a look at the prototype’s interior and its rear suspension. Predictably, the interior is a mishmash of Dodge Durango pieces—witness the center stack, digital gauge cluster, and steering wheel. Expect these items to become more “Chrysler-y” for production.”
“As for the rear suspension, it looks as though the T&C switches from a twist-beam rear axle to a multilink arrangement. Given how the exhaust and some underbody shielding pass beneath the axle, and that the suspension components we can see sit at an angle, it seems unlikely that there is a full-width stick axle down there. This might sound minor, but it bodes well for the van’s interior packaging. When we last spotted this test car, we speculated that the current-generation van’s clever Stow ’n Go folding rear seats may be binned, as there is no way the lower-looking floor could fit both the folding seats and, well, the rear suspension. An independent suspension, on the other hand, leaves more space for underbody components like the exhaust, the fuel tank, and optional all-wheel-drive bits, possibly leaving room above for disappearing seats even with the chopped roof-line.”
We are sure that whatever Chrysler finally decides on will make for a fantastic Town and Country. To see what the 2016 Town and Country looks like, head to All Star near Clayton!

The 2016 Chrysler Town and Country is a top rated minivan that customers have enjoyed for a number of years. It is stylish and offers plenty of room for up to 7 passengers. All Star Chrysler Dealer near Clayton wanted to take a look at some of the reviews that real customers have written in regards to how they feel about the Town and Country and why they would recommend it to other people. Let us take a look at a few of them today!
“This is my seventh Town and Country. The six before this had over 100,000 mile on them with no engine or transmission problems. My 2002 went over 250,000 miles with no engine or transmissions problems. My present 2014 has 45,000 mile on it. It gets up to 31 mpg on the road and averages 26 mpg overall. I love the spacious interior and the way it holds the road. There are two things that are not to my satisfaction. The sliding doors do make noise when I drive through parking lots over the small bumps etc. The other is the chrome all over the dash that reflects the sun into my eyes. I painted over the chrome and now love the layout of the dash with the readout for the vehicle speed. I have the trailer tow package and have no problem pulling my 3200 lb boat. The engine is powerful enough for this as well as getting up to speed and entering the highway on ramps. You can’t do much better in a minivan – great value for the price. Reliable and comfortable and great on gas.” – Gerald
While some of the features that Gerald mentioned are options that you can choose to add. There are a number of different packages available for the Town and Country.
