On March 3rd, FCA US LLC released their report detailing final sales numbers for the company for the month of February 2015. According to the report, total sales were up by 6 percent with total units sold at 163,586. These numbers represent the group’s best February sales since the year 2007. According to Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales, “In spite of snow and bitter cold that slowed auto sales in many regions of the country, FCA US still turned in a 6 percent sales increase and extended our year-over-year sales streak to 59-consecutive months. Even with tougher year-over-year sales comparisons in 2015, our vehicle lineup continues to produce record sales results.”
Other sales highlights from FCA US for the month of February 2015 include:
- Jeep brand posted it’s 17th month of year-over-year gains with a 21 percent over last year. Four Jeep brand SUVs also posted sales records for the month including the Jeep Patriot that was up by 59 percent, the Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, and the Jeep Compass. The Grand Cherokee also had it’s best sales month in nine year with sales jumping 8 percent.
- The Chrysler brand has it’s best February since 2008 with a 13 percent increase and the eighth month in a row of year-over-year sales gains. The Chrysler 200 had it’s best February with sales up by 31 percent.
- Ram pickup trucks had it’s 58th-consecutive month of year-over-year gains with a 7 percent increase and it’s best February since 2004. Ram Light Duty trucks were up by 7 percent and Heavy Duty was up by 3 percent.
- Dodge Dart sales were up by 52 percent for the month and the Dodge Challenger has a 42 percent gain giving the car it’s best February sales ever. The Charger also had a good month with it’s best February since 2007 and a 16 percent jump in sales.
