It is no secret that the Dodge Dart as we know it is no longer in production. Dodge brought this model back to life a number of years ago after it had been on hiatus for more than a decade. It seems to be a new trend that auto makers bring back classic cars from the 1970’s for a limited time and then put them back away. Will these models be making their way out into production in another 30 years? We don’t know, but it is fun to speculate! We want to share a bit of information on the Dodge Dart that you can still get at All Star Dodge near O’Fallon.
The new Dart lineup, available this month at Dodge dealerships, has shrunk to three models instead of five. They are the new Dart SXT Sport, Dart Turbo and Dart GT Sport.
Previously, the 2016 Dart was offered in SE, SXT, Aero, GT and Limited models. The Dart SXT Sport is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine a standard six-speed manual transmission or optional six-speed automatic transmission.
Standard features include remote keyless entry, Uconnect voice command with Bluetooth, Sirius Satellite radio, air-conditioning, cruise control, steering-wheel audio controls and 16-inch aluminum wheels. Standard equipment includes a sport appearance hood, integrated dual exhaust and a Rallye Appearance package that bundles black headlight bezels, a black grille surround with black crosshair and 17-inch Granite Crystal aluminum wheels. A long list of standard equipment includes a 10-way power driver’s seat, rearview camera, dual-zone automatic temperature control and 17-inch Granite Crystal aluminum wheels.
