All Star Dodge home of a wide selection of new and used Chrysler cars in St. Louis is very pleased to announce that the Detroit and Chicago chapters of the National Association of Black Journalists NABJ and the New York and Los Angeles chapters of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) have implemented their goal to walk over 34 million steps to earn money for aspiring journalist scholarship funds.
“Cloud Gate, also known as “The Bean,” in Millennium Park is just one of many sites NABJ Chicago member Lynn Norment blogged about during her walking adventures in the 30 Day Wellness Challenge,” says Chrysler News.com
Chrysler Group aspires to make this “wellness experience” an example for an increased awareness in health in many different diverse cultural communities throughout the country.
Next Chrysler Group will plan a day of health and wellness with other wellness partners at the NABJ and NAHJ national conventions this summer.
“This experience or pavilion will feature health screenings and interactive elements focusing on best practices in exercise, nutrition and healthy living. In addition, the pavilion will feature educational materials on health and wellness issues facing multicultural communities. The pavilion will even feature a chef at each convention who will prepare healthy variations of traditional ethnic foods,” says Chrysler Group.
When it comes down to it, the purpose of the events is to get the message out about improvement of health and the quality of life in diverse cultural communities-many of which have a vast number of health challenges and higher incidence of health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.
Education through these programs can help to bring resources to journalists and leaders in the communities.
