Many people know their local IL Jeep Dealer has a Certified Car or Truck section. But many people don’t completely understand what that means, or whether or not a certified, pre-owned car is the right vehicle for their family. One major factor of determining a car or truck as certified lies within the inspection the car must go through. Certified, pre-owned vehicles go through a stringent evaluation process and, as a result, carry comprehensive warranties not typically offered with non-certified used cars. Buying a used, non-certified vehicle from a dealer or individual comes with no guarantee that the car has been cared for and is actually worth what the owner claims it to be. You receive no type of guarantee with a car that has been certified. Purchasing a vehicle that has been certified brings with it guarantees not commonly associated with non-certified pre-owned vehicles and consumers appreciate, and are even willing to pay a little extra for a car that has been rigorously inspected and guaranteed by the manufacturer. Your local Jeep Dealer can confirm whether or not a vehicle is certified.
The actual inspection a car or truck must go through before being stamped certified is rigorous to say the least. Some of the commonly found inspection standards are: General Evaluation-this includes inspection of the safety systems, mirrors, lights, brakes, steering, and an overall engine evaluation. The vehicles electrical, engine cooling system, seatbelts, air condition and power steering is also evaluated. An interior evaluation, exterior assessment, required service and maintenance assessment, as well as an exterior detailing analysis are also conducted with each inspection.
As always, your Missouri Certified Jeep Dealer can answer any questions you may have regarding the inspection process. Manufacturers stand behind these certifications and want to make sure you are getting the best vehicle available.
All Star Jeep Dealer serving St Louis is committed to the safety of its consumers. Many of our vehicles come equipped with several features that focus on safety. Safety is no laughing matter to us. With April being National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, we are even more focused on safe driving and have come up with some ways to keep your teen driver safe while behind the wheel. A recent study was released by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, and it was found that “teen girls are twice as likely as teen boys to use cell phones and other electronic devices while driving, Electronic devices were the most commonly observed distracted driving activity for new teen drivers of both genders, although video captured many other serious distractions.”
AAA Foundation President and CEO Peter Kissinger stated: “Cell phones, texting, personal grooming, and reaching for things in the car were among the most common distracting activities found when cameras were put in new teen drivers’ cars. This new study provides the best view we’ve had about how and when teens engage in distracted driving behaviors believed to contribute to making car crashes the leading cause of death for teenagers.”
We encourage all families to develop a system of accountability when it comes to safe driving. Many families have created safe driving agreements for all members of driving age. This contract, signed by all parties involved is an agreement, which states no cell phones, or other distractive devices will be used while driving. Period. All parties have an understanding that if the agreement is broke (for any reason), a severe consequence will be issued, one that encourages every family member to adhere to the agreement. If every family takes a few simple, but important, steps to encourage safe driving, we can make the roads a safer place.

While leasing is good for some families and certain situations, it’s not always the best option for others. First, let me say that your local Dodge Dealer has finance experts on hand that can help you find some great financing deals. Financing through your dealer is fast, extremely convenient, and often competitive. But if you are a do it yourself kind of person, and want to find financing on your own, we have a couple of tips for you as well.
First, talk to your bank, the place where you already have your money. They’ll be able to offer you decent rates and can help walk you through the process. You’ll want to make sure your credit report has no surprises on it, so pull a free copy of your report and just double check. Next, you’ll want to make sure you are prepared with a down payment. Although some lending institutions will give you a loan for 100% of the car, you’ll want to make sure you have some money saved, just in case. Last, before you sign anything you’ll want to really look over the terms of your financing. Good luck and happy shopping!
